I have given many portrait demonstrations to art societies up and down the country.  The time allocated to capture a likeness is under 2 hours. 

I select a volunteer from the audience and hope they engage in the process, enjoy the experience and of course are able to sit still!  It is a high risk strategy and certainly gets the adrenaline pumping.
